Quest For Glory & Prizes!

Oldwyck Town

Brigantia is located in a region called the Isles of Myst, in Inworldz.  Our nearest neighbor is Oldwyck, just across the Elemental Myst Sea, and the Mystic Sea.  Oldwyck appears to be a simple port, but beneath Oldwyck is a vast network of caverns and tunnels.  There are legends of an ancient dragon who has slept deep within the caves for ages.

The evil and immortal wizard Roldan, who harbors an old grudge against the land of Brigantia, is imprisoned in an enchanted dark realm to contain his dark deeds.  he has heard the myths about the sleeping dragon and is plotting to locate and wake the dragon in order to use him in his latest scheme.  But Brigantian Elder Taryn Nightthorn has seen the signs of Roldan's stirring, and has warned the community that he must be contained.

Dark Tower Realm @ Brigantia

Part of the solution involves a quest...and you can help!  Hidden throughout Brigantia are five artifacts.  If you can find them and forge them into a magic pendant, you can wear the pendant to help generate powerful forces that will strengthen the wards on Roldan's enchanted prison.  Then, you must find five more artifacts at Oldwyck, from which you must cultivate a singing dragon tree.  The tree will sing an ethereal song that will help lull the dragon back into his deep slumber.  The Isles of Myst will be safe once more!

Yes, it's a real quest, and if you are successful, you will actually receive a MAGIC PENDANT and a SINGING DRAGON TREE.  And what fun!  So, hurry over to the Brigantia Welcome Center and pick up a Quest Pack, and begin your quest.  (There is a display just as you land!)  Inside the pack, you will find a hint card, a red Quest Pouch in which to collect your artifacts, and a Quest tag.  Simple instructions are included to get you started.

Keep posted on events and future quests!  Stop in for a casual roleplay visit (free medieval clothing available at the Brigantian Welcome Center), or start developing a character and be a regular member of our community.  Join one of our Update Groups--Joiners are located in the Brigantia Welcome Center and Oldwyck Welcome Center.  Hope to see you soon!

Welcome to Brigantia #2

Continued from Part 1...
Ballybrack is a rural village and it's scattered throughout the Creiff Forest in Brigantia.  When you've finished shopping at the local market, continue straight along the path, walk through the tree arch (brace yourself--there's a portal), and you will eventually reach Hawick Farm.  The farm is a bustling place where you can find plenty of "work", as well as gather lots of ingredients for "cooking".  (You can gather ingredients like grain and vegetables into your pouch, then mix those into an oven or cauldron to make your own food.  Instructions are provided at the Brigantia Welcome Center.)
Hawick Farm has a big garden, orchard, livestock, and herb gardens.  There is a well where you can gather water for cooking and irrigating.  Be sure to water the garden after your harvest so it will grow!  There is a Dairy where you can purchase cheese, butter, and cream, or earn a few coins by helping make those products.

Spinning at Hawick Farm.

Not into farming?  Try your hand at throwing pots or dipping candles.  And if that doesn't appeal to you, the wool merchant is always looking for spinners, weavers, and dyers.

Uh oh!  What's that?  You've injured yourself doing all that work?  You had better head on up the path toward the infirmary...

Firelight Tales @ Brigantia

After you leave Hawick Farm, just before you get to the infirmary, you will notice a fork to the right.  This leads to the Firelight Circle, where Brigantians and their guests gather for a regular bardic circle.  (**Join the Brigantia Update Group and/or the Isles of Myst Update Group to receive notices about this and other events.).

Brigantia Apothecary & Infirmary, Herb Garden

But, if you continue toward the left, you will reach the Brigantian Apothecary and Infirmatory.  Go upstairs to the infirmary if you need expert attention from one of the Brigantian healers.  They can help you with most any ailment. If you prefer to self medicate, talk to Elewys at the front counter downstairs.  She will sell you some herbs, potions, or elixirs, prepare you a poultice, or help you brew your own.
